WOW. 💛 What a September!!!
We asked our community to GO GOLD for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and you showed up BIG. 🎗️
Businesses decorated. Schools and workplaces joined in. You wore gold, hung ribbons, shared posts and filled our community with gold.
But our favorite part? People started talking.
Someone saw a ribbon and asked what it meant. Someone learned something new about childhood cancer. Someone learned about bone marrow donation. Someone heard a child’s story. Someone asked about Luke.
That is awareness.
For our family, seeing so much gold meant more than we can put into words. Every ribbon, every post and every conversation reminded us that Luke is still making an impact. We wanted people to keep saying his name and for his story to continue... and this month, you helped us do that. 💛
Behind all of the beautiful gold is a hard reality. Kids are still being diagnosed. Children are still spending their childhoods in hospital rooms. Survivors are living with the effects of treatment. And families like ours are learning to live without one of their children.
That’s why the conversations matter.
To every single person who participated in any way: THANK YOU. You made this September something our family will never forget.
September may be ending, but we’re just getting started. 💛🦖
