This September, a piece of Luke will be in Washington, D.C. 💛🎗️
Luke will be honored at CureFest on the National Mall. His face and story displayed on the Tribute Wall, and a pair of his shoes placed in the Childhood Cancer Shoe Memorial, at our Nation's Capitol.
His shoes.
The ones that should still be on his feet. The ones he should be outgrowing, wearing out, and running through life in.
CureFest brings together childhood cancer families, advocates, organizations, survivors, and bereaved families from across the country with one shared purpose: to make childhood cancer impossible to ignore.
We would give anything for Luke to have no place on a wall or in a memorial. But because he does, we will make sure the world continues to know his name.
Luke mattered. His life mattered. And his story will always matter.
Our boy is going to Washington. 💛🦖⚾🎗️
